Falling back

20Sep10

It’s *that* time of the year again.   The summer holidays are over, and summer is drawing to a close … and the days are getting shorter and darker. Correspondingly, I feel like I’m contracting my world around me, withdrawing and hoarding my resources against the long darkness ahead. It’s been difficult picking up again […]

The summer holidays have come to an end, so we spent most of today (regretfully) preparing for school tomorrow – tidying bedrooms, packing up PE kits and school bags, putting the finishing touches to homework. So, the children went back to school on Thursday, and on Friday I remembered to bring my camera with me … am posting this late due to a riotous social life that took out pretty much all of Friday after school 😉

Again, I couldn’t decide which photo to use today, so I’m posting two. An ‘inside’ day today, sorting through fabrics and trimmings and working out a couple of ‘mood boards’ for the autumn/winter textile pieces. The top picture, ‘forest fantasy’ is a blend of natural green tones that will work well with this seasons pale […]
